From Noodles to New Opportunities: P’Nut Asian Kitchen Gives Back to Thailand

handsacrossthewater

At P’Nut Asian Kitchen, formerly known as P’Nut Street Noodles, Thailand has always been at the heart of our story.

From a Bangkok hawker stall to restaurants across NSW and QLD, P’Nut was built on Chef Nut’s family recipes, made-from-scratch sauces and bold Thai street-food flavours.

So when Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year, came around, we wanted to celebrate in a way that gave something back.

Making Songkran Mean a Little More

Songkran is a time for family, gratitude and new beginnings. This year, we partnered with Hands Across the Water, an Australian charity supporting children and young people in Thailand.

As part of our Songkran promotion, proceeds were donated to help children in Thailand. It was a simple way to turn a celebration we love into something that could support others.

We’re grateful to everyone who took part and helped make it possible.

Supporting Four Children

Our connection with Hands Across the Water goes beyond the campaign.

P’Nut is proud to sponsor four children through the organisation, helping provide:

  • Safe housing
  • Nutritious food
  • Education and school support
  • Healthcare and care
  • A more secure future

For us, it’s about doing something practical and meaningful where we can.

Why Thailand Matters to P’Nut

Thailand is not just where our food inspiration comes from. It is part of the P’Nut story.

P’Nut Asian Kitchen was co-founded by Chef Nut, whose love of Thai cooking began at his grandmother’s street-food stall in Bangkok. That is where he first learned the foundations of real Thai cooking — balancing flavour, grinding chilli paste and making sauces slowly, properly and from scratch.

Those same values still sit at the heart of P’Nut today: real Thai street-food flavour, fresh wok cooking, made-from-scratch sauces, family, community and connection.

That is why supporting children in Thailand through Hands Across the Water feels like a natural part of our journey.

A Message from Ankur Sehgal

As P’Nut CEO Ankur Sehgal says:

“Thai food has always been about more than just a meal. It is about family, community and connection.”

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who supported our Songkran promotion and helped us give back to a community that inspires so much of what we do.

We’re proud to share Thai food and culture with customers across Australia — and even prouder when we can use our business to support children in Thailand.

As P’Nut Asian Kitchen continues its journey from its early P’Nut Street Noodles days to the brand it is today, we remain proud to share Thai food and culture while giving back where we can.
